FNT Software recently launched its FNT Command 14 which features sustainability enhancements, improvements made per customer requests, and fine-tuned usability features. The company says that this update “elevates the management of complex IT, data center, and network infrastructures to new heights of efficiency and control”.
FNT Command 14 has a “dynamic new UI for editable configuration data that simplifies the editing process”. Users can customize templates to their preferences, parameters of attributes can be changed and static attributes can be relocated creating a better user experience. In terms of attribute management, all attributes can be organized and moved however the user requires which leads to greater flexibility.
When it comes to improving sustainability and decarbonization operations, FNT Sustainability documents, tracks, and reports on Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions as well as other environmental factors through the utilization of the new EPD Matrix, compliant with ISO 14025 norms. It features a preconfigured analytics dashboard which gives “actionable insights, supporting greener operations and regulatory compliance, and demonstrating eligibility for financial incentives”.
“We’re proud to release FNT Command 14 and help organizations achieve more efficient, greener IT, data center and network infrastructure operations,” said Carsten Wreth, Chief Executive Officer of FNT GmbH. “In addition to enhancing infrastructure management, the latest version of FNT Command enables organizations to remain compliant with ESG/CSR legislations, reduce OpEx, and become eligible for tax exemption programs.”
FNT Software says, “To improve telco operations, FNT Command 14 provides advanced network planning capabilities that allow the movement of bearers and start/end points of unrouted paths directly in Planning mode, streamlining network transformation. IP-based services can now be linked to logical ports for more precise network resource management. Improved search options enable filtering for devices with matching service types during bearer, unrouted path, or trail creation, facilitating enhanced device search during service configurations. Further, connected service report enhancements allow quick access to reports from various entities, including objects, devices, zones, cables, services, and ports.”
The new software includes improvements in inventory and warehouse management, work order management, and cable and outside plant management. FNT GeoMaps now has multi-duct management, which allows users to manage fiber with multi-ducts and the choice between regular ducts or multi-ducts with the “open with” functionality. To prevent the need for switching between FNT Command and GeoMaps, there is now a bookmarking option which saves selections and stores them as bookmarks.
