As the American banker, financier and philanthropist Sanford I. "Sandy" Weill reputedly once observed, "Details create the big picture." This is definitely the case in the majority of photos found regularly posted to social media at Reddit's 'Cableporn' sub-community, celebrating various ICT cabling success stories as documented in the field. Sometimes a picture truly is worth a thousand words! But oftentimes, it's the little details that make these photos so worthy of "cheers..."
"Under floor view of CAT6A install we did. We put foam matting down first to protect the cables from bare concrete. That's why it looks clean. It's better in my opinion for the cables to be a little bit hairy and haphazard; even with shielded solutions. Less chance of crosstalk and longevity problems. Buuut if the client wants neat, tram-lined cables that's what they get. The key is you put one piece of guiding velcro on real neat and tight. You then slide that first piece down the bundle, holding the cables as it goes and applying the other velcro strips behind it." -- Reddit/Cableporn OP: u/Krucester
