NIBS Building Innovation conference issues call for speakers

For its 10th annual Building Innovation conference, to be held this September in Washington, DC, the National Institute of Building Sciences is calling for speakers across 10 smart buildings topics.

The National Institute of Building Sciences, based in Washington, D.C., is gearing up for what it bills as "the industry’s only conference for the entire building community to connect, collaborate, and design solutions for the built environment"—and it is looking for speakers.

For the organization's 10th annual Building Innovation conference, which will take place Sept. 26-28 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., NIBS seeks to engage the smart buildings community in-person for networking and to learn from industry professionals. Based on a recent attendee survey, NIBS is specifically looking for speaker abstracts to cover the following 10 topics:

  1. Building information modeling
  2. Digital twins
  3. Affordable housing
  4. Sustainability
  5. Carbon neutral construction
  6. Net zero building design
  7. Climate change
  8. Building enclosure commissioning
  9. Cyber and data security
  10. Electric vehicles and robotics

Submit abstracts no later than June 1, 2022.
