STI offers 'FIT Level 2' firestop instructional training virtually or in-person

May 19, 2022
AIA and BICSI accredited course is intended for those professionals who will inspect, specify, train, or supervise firestop installations.

Specified Technologies, Inc. (STI) is currently accepting registrations for its signature firestop instructional training class, FIT Level 2.

The AIA and BICSI accredited course is intended for those professionals who will inspect, specify, train, or supervise firestop installations, including: contractors, AHJs, architects, engineers, maintenance managers, IS managers, CE managers, IT directors, infectious control managers, life-safety officers, loss reduction specialists, and other interested parties.

As reckoned by STI's announcement of the course, "Firestop systems are highly dependent on proper design and installation for success in an actual fire - yet they are the only life-safety code requirement that is installed by every single trade. The importance of proper training is paramount in ensuring that the correct firestop systems are selected and installed correctly in the field."

This year, STI is offering the course in (2) virtual sessions, along with (1) in-person session in Houston, TX and (2) in-person sessions at its corporate headquarters in Somerville, NJ.

Select the desired date as linked below to register for the FIT Level 2 course:

Virtual (8 AIA LU/HSW, 6 BICSI CEC)
In-Person: Somerville, NJ (8 AIA LU/HSW, 6 BICSI CEC)

Please note that registrations for STI's in-person events are limited to 40 seats, on a first-come-first-serve basis. For additional information, email [email protected].
