ISE, a sister brand of Cabling Installation & Maintenance, will deliver an online seminar June 28 that describes how service providers can upgrade their customers’ internet speeds without disrupting service to those customers.
In a promotion for the seminar, ISE asks prospective attendees, “What’s your game plan to provide faster, more reliable internet services to customers while also keeping costs low and minimizing disruption to your subscribers? The pressure to transform access networks has never been greater. But is there a way to do it without the headaches of traditional upgrades?”
The webinar will address these questions, ISE says, adding the session will include “the real-world experience of several service providers.” The webinar “will demonstrate how service providers have planned network upgrades with ease and minimized disruption to their operations teams and subscribers.”
Moderated by ISE’s editorial director Sharon Vollman, the webinar will feature the expertise of Calix’s AVP for access systems, network engineering and services marketing, Tom Schroer. ISE points out that attendees will learn ways to achieve the following objectives.
- Improve service quality and reduce costs by moving to a software-defined access solution
- Boost the network’s flexibility by adding the ability to provide new multi-gigabit services alongside existing GPON
- Improve upgrade plans and minimize their impact on external and internal clients.
Attendees can earn one continuing education credit from BICSI by attending the session in its entirety, on June 28 or later when it is available for on-demand viewing.
