Recently on the Let’s Talk Cabling Podcast, host Chuck Bowser interviewed BICSI’s senior vice president of marketing, Caroline Laurin, about the launch of the association’s newest event: BICSI Beyond. BICSI Beyond will take place August 17-20 at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. The event’s format will differ from that of the BICSI Winter Conference, and the former Fall Conference that took place annually for many years. Laurin explained to Bowser, “We’re adding new session format types. We’ll have solution rooms, where people can get together and discuss problems they face. Lighting Learning sessions will give you quick tips and tidbits. We’ll have debates. Lecture formats will still be part of the conference.
“We’re also expanding our edu-tours, and we’re changing the whole look. We want to make sure that when you arrive in Vegas at the Venetian, it looks like nothing you’ve ever seen before.”
Laurin also emphasized that BICSI is recruiting professional from industries adjacent to ICT to participate in BICSI Beyond. “What better way to face the future than to do it together?” she stated.
