Department of Interior soliciting cabling project in Aberdeen, SD

Companies meeting the requirements of the Buy Indian Act can bid for the job, estimated to be valued between $150,000 and $250,000.

The Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs is soliciting (Solicitation Number A12PS01658) bids for the supply and installation of network cabling at the bureau's Great Plains Regional Office in Aberdeen, SD. According to the solicitation, the project will include the installation of structured Category 6 cabling, 50/125-micron multimode fiber-optic cabling, as well as the certification of the installed systems and the removal of existing/abandoned voice and data cabling. The installation must be performed in accordance with TIA-568-B and is a 100-percent set-aside for Native American-owned and -operated firms under the Buy Indian Act.

The bureau estimates the contract will be valued between $150,000 and $250,000. The Great Plains Regional Office, where the installation will take place, is located at 115 4th Avenue SE in Aberdeen, SD.
