Legrand/Cablofil reports that its "best labor saving splice" is now available in 316L stainless steel, which is suitable for harsh environments. The EDRNIN 316L allows installers to splice wire mesh tray twice as fast as compared to a bolted splice, maintains the company. A special assembly tool makes installation easy and one tool is included with every package of splices. No other tools are needed.

The company calls the EDRN splice a time-tested design that utilizes a patented stable grip edge that snaps in place between the upper wires of Cablofil tray, forming a secure splice. For tray widths of 8” and less, only 2 EDRN’s are required for each splice. For larger tray widths, 1 or 2 additional splices are required on the bottom of the tray. EDRN reduces the overall number of splices needed in an installation and is UL Classified.
EDRNIN 316L is designed for use in corrosive environments such as industrial plants, exterior applications, oil refineries, marinas and oil drilling platforms.
