Milwaukee introduced the M18 Magnetic Extendable Boom Light, which will be available in July 2024. The light provides maneuverability for use in hard-to-reach and tight work spaces. The light “delivers 2500 Lumens of TIREVIEW High-Definition Output and featured three modes to manage output and run time, depending on the needs of the job,” the company said when announcing the product. “When paired with an M18 XC5.0 Battery, the light provides all day runtime with up to 12 hours of run time on low.”
The two articulating arms and three swivel points combine to deliver 900 degrees of vertical rotation and 890 degrees of horizontal rotation, “providing complete light head adjustability,” Milwaukee pointed out. The carrying handle functions as a release mechanism for the magnetic base. The light comes with a protective storage boot, which Milwaukee explained provides surface shielding when storing the light on toolboxes or sensitive surfaces. The boot is 2-mm-thick rubber.
The light is IP54-rated, protecting against dust and water.
The light delivers 2500 Lumens in high output, 1500 on medium, and 1000 on low. High-output runtime is 4.5 hours; medium is 8 hours; and low is 12 hours. It weighs 8.22 pounds and is 6.71 inches in height.
Milwaukee’s suggested retail price is $279.
