Last Call for BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge Contestants: Deadline is January 10

The application deadline is quickly approaching for BICSI-certified Installers and Technicians who are eligible to compete in the upcoming Cabling Skills Challenge. The Challenge will be held during BICSI’s 2025 Winter Conference and Exhibition, February 2-6. The deadline for applications is Friday, January 10.

The winner of the Challenge will earn the title Installer of the Year and earn a $5,000 prize. All participants will receive a complimentary registration to the conference.

The challenge includes 8 events: structured cabling system installation; copper cable terminations/firestopping/grounding and bonding; fusion and mechanical splicing; cable assembly; cable troubleshooting/OTDR troubleshooting; fiber link testing; professionalism/orientation; and a competency exam.

BICSI limits the number of participants in the contest, and applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no fee for an individual to compete.
