Leviton announced that its Cat 6A SST cable is now conveniently provided in a TEKPAK box which is more sustainable as it is made of 100% recyclable cardboard. Leviton noticed based on sales volume and customer research that contractors tend to opt for TEKPAK packaging over a reel when it is an option. With this new discovery, now both reel and TEKPAK packaging will be available.
“The ATLAS-X1 connectivity and SST cable-based MILLENNIUM System is engineered to meet the most rigorous demands of modern networks, offering extended distances, adaptability, and high-speed connectivity.” This worldwide Cat 6A UTP structured cabling system also now supports longer, warrantied four-connector channel distances in different environments. The system can be utilized in a variety of applications including video conferencing, building management systems, and security cameras, all while ensuring there’s reliable connectivity in even the most secluded parts of the building.
Some noteworthy features of the system include supporting distances of up to 200 meters, high-speed connectivity and uninterrupted data transmission, even under heavy loads, and much more. TEKPAK in particular is “the ideal solution for installers” and has easy-to-use interlocking TekLok tabs which make for stable deployments that do not require special equipment while also streamlining the installation process to further productivity on the jobsite. As it is 100% recyclable, TEKPAK is sustainable through the reduction of jobsite waste and environmental impact, leading to a greener future.
