The WireScope 350 Category 6 cable tester also has the capability to test fiber installations. Providing a 350-megahertz test frequency range and accuracy that exceeds the proposed Level III specification, the tester features a color touch screen that the company says simplifies menu navigation and improves comprehension of test results. Color diagrams highlight fault sources, and cabling color codes are designed to improve operator efficiency and reduce training requirements.

The unit also features removable CompactFlash memory cards to provide storage of test results with detailed plot data. The data allows users to reevaluate saved test results against new performance standards without retesting the cabling runs. With CompactFlash card readers and adapters, users can upload data directly to laptop or desktop computers. The plot data includes fault schematics and a distance-to-fault locator function. ScopeData Pro software lets users produce customized graphical test reports.
