MC6 cords, part of the System 6 structured cabling system, incorporate stranded patch cable and modular plug-design features. The plug features the manufacturer`s patent-pending internal KeyBar technology, staggered contacts, and insert-molded strain relief. Together, these features arrange and maintain conductor positions for optimum performance. The insert-molded strain relief provides improved plug-to-cable retention over traditional cords and prevents disturbance of the cable geometry by eliminating the mechanical crimping of the plug strain relief. The molded-in strain relief also features a latch guard to protect the plug latch from snagging when pulling cords through pathways or cable managers. All MC6 modular cords are transmission-tested in a proposed Category 6 channel to 250 megahertz using a network analyzer.
