Fast Ethernet interconnection system

A Fast Ethernet interconnection system for Cisco Catalyst 5000 systems consists of a 48-port RJ-21x telco patch panel, a 48-port 110-style patch panel, RJ-21x telco-to-RJ-21x telco cable assemblies, RJ-21x-to-RJ-45 cable assemblies, and RJ-45 patch cords. The solution exceeds Category 5 specifications and allows a 100-megabit-per-second full-duplex system to operate over the entire frequency range for maximum bandwidth allocation. The system includes maximum headroom and attenuation-to-crosstalk ratio to accommodate future technologies. The design allows precision cable management without signal degradation when the Catalyst 5000 is fully populated with 48-port switching modules.
