TIA president applauds appointments to FCC

Dec. 27, 2005 - U.S. Senate appoints Michael Copps, Deborah Tate to commission.

Telecommunications Industry Association President Matthew Flanigan has praised the U.S. Senate for its unanimous vote to confirm Michael Copps and Deborah Tate to appointments on the Federal Communications Commission:

"TIA applauds the Senate for unanimously confirming President Bush's nominees Michael Copps and Deborah Tate for service on the FCC," says Flanigan. "TIA has worked with Commissioner Copps over the last four years on a shared agenda of bringing the benefits of broadband and new communications technologies to every American consumer. We very much look forward to continuing these efforts."
