Pentair, Inc. has announced its intent to purchase certain assets of APW Ltd., including McLean Midwest, Electronic Solutions, and Aspen Motion Technologies, Inc.
This announcement is designed to strengthen Hoffman Enclosures by adding critical thermal management solutions for manufacturing, packaging, material handling, processing, data communications, networking, and electrical industries to Pentair's Enclosures Group. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth
quarter of this year.
As part of the Pentair Enclosure Group, Hoffman is an enclosure designer and manufacturer. Hoffman and McLean have been previously affiliated through a private labeling supply agreement. McLean designs and manufactures air conditioning, cooling, and other thermal management products for electrical and electronic equipment. The integration of these technologies and systems into Hoffman's enclosure product offerings will expand Hoffman's product offering in a variety of markets where thermal management has become a critical issue.
