New conference format for BICSI

March 12, 2002--The Mondays of BICSI conferences will now be devoted to morning and afternoon workshops.

BICSI's spring pre-conference activities will include a series of educational workshops designed for members, registered installers, and technicians.

The workshops will replace the traditional members-only technical seminar and governmental relations forum. They will be held May 6 at the BICSI 2002 Spring Conference from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

The fee for conference attendees is $49; those not registered for the conference will pay $99. The workshop awards 6 continuing education renewal credits (CECs) for RCDD, RCDD/LAN specialists, RCDD/OSP specialists, or installers, Level 2 and technicians. This will be an all-day workshop; there are no half-day fees or half credits.

The workshops will start with check-in and continental breakfast from 8:30 to 9 a.m. The workshops will run from 9 a.m to noon and resume after lunch from 1 to 4 p.m.

The session topics include:
* LAN Workshop-"Pulling the Pieces Together"
* Outside Plant Workshop-"The Aerial Fiber Optic Network: Design, Deployment, and Specification"
* Installation Workshop.
