March 1, 2002--The element-management software packages help enterprise users configure LAN equipment, optimize network traffic, and lower costs.
Intelliden Corp. (www.intelliden.com) has unveiled its R-10 and R-30 software suites. These are designed to be the industry's first element management software suite that could help companies address the network infrastructure crisis that comes from the daily manual configuration of network devices.
The suites fit into the automated configuration or network configuration market. The two product suites are designed to assist enterprises in configuring the routers and LAN switches in the network, while optimizing network traffic and lowering costs.
The suites represent Intelliden's efforts to take network optimization one step at a time, starting from the ground up. They are designed to automatically configure the network properly based on a business's requirements so that new services, such as VPNs, can be effectively offered across the entire network with less IT expense.
The software suites view all of the networks as a single system through the unified control plane and graphical user interface, and cross-carrier services are supported as long as all of the carriers have the R-Series software loaded. Intelliden believes a typical end user can see a payback in less than six months with the R-Series software.
