Graybar opens Cincinnati-area regional distribution center

January 30, 2002--The Hamilton, OH center is the distributor's thirteenth such center to open, with three more on the way.

Graybar (www.graybar.com) has opened its thirteenth regional distribution center; this one is in Hamilton, OH near Cincinnati. The center provides service to customers in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

The 152,000-square-foot zone warehouse serves as a replenishment and shipping facility for Graybar branches in the area. Sales and customer-service functions, as well as counter and will-call service, continue to be handled out of existing Graybar branches in the region.

The Hamilton facility employs 42 people. It joins the other regional zone warehouses in Lewisville, TX; Austell, GA; Joliet, IL; Fresno, CA; Cranbury, NJ; Stafford, TX; Taunton, MA; Youngstown, OH; Puyallup, WA; Rogers, MN, Charlotte, NC; and Springfield, MO. The next regional zone opening is scheduled to happen in February in Tampa, FL.
