John Gibson has rejoined the U.S. operation of Berk-Tek (www.berktek.com) as senior vice president, operations and technology, after a three-year appointment as technical director for the cabling solutions product line at parent company Nexans in Paris, France.
Gibson now manages the operations and technology for Berk-Tek's coper data cable plant in New Holland, PA, and the company's fiber-optic plant in Fuquay-Varina, NC. He also manages the New Holland Competency Center, which is a new research-and-development lab focusing on advanced-materials development, product design and applications, and development and testing.
Gibson has more than 22 years of service with Berk-Tek, having held management positions in engineering, quality assurance, and operations. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
