Beni Blell appointed optical fiber product business manager for Berk-Tek

Feb. 18, 2003 - He will manage company's offering of optical fiber LAN/WAN cables.

Beni Blell has been appointed optical fiber product business manager for Berk-Tek, a Nexans company.

Blell will manage Berk-Tek's offering of optical fiber LAN/WAN cables, like Adventum, which bypasses the indoor/outdoor transition points saving installation costs, and GIGAliteTM-10, a 50 æm multimode fiber that supports 300-meter link lengths for 10 Gigabit per second applications.

Blell brings 11 years of industry experience to his new position with management roles in engineering and product marketing. In addition, he has extensive experience in product development and in systems and applications engineering.

Blell has a master's degree in engineering and a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering. He has worked for industry recognized employers including Corning Cabling Systems, CommScope and Sumitomo Electric Lightwave Corp.

Berk-Tek is a manufacturer of more than 100 different network copper and optical fiber cable products.
