FONS Corp. has acquired assets from Spoval Fiber Optics, Inc.
FONS representatives say the acquisition will ensure that Spoval customers will have access to all existing products, as well as a broad range of products available under the FONS' brand name.
The move expands the FONS' (Fiber Optic Network Solutions) market base with new national accounts, and is designed to strengthen the company's geographic reach with local accounts in the western region of the country.
Mark Fralich, who co-founded Spoval in 1993, is now joining FONS as director of sales. Fralich developed a customer base and complete portfolio of optical fiber connectivity products. He will continue to support Spoval customers while managing FONS' customers in the western region.
"There is remarkable similarity between Spoval and FONS in terms of the companies' philosophy and focus on customer relationships and service excellence," says Mike Noonan, president of FONS.
