August 21, 2001 According to a soon-to-be-released study from Business Communications Co. Inc. (www.bccresearch.com) RG-246: Wireless Infrastructure in the World Market, the wireless infrastructure market was valued at approximately $100 billion at the end of 2000. The market is conservatively estimated to increase to more than $186 billion by 2005 as it grows at an annual average growth rate of 13.9% during the forecast period.
However, Business Communications Co. Inc. wants to be bold in predicting that the present downturn in the wireless industry is but a transient blip on its increasing sales growth. Such are the benefits of the wireless industry, in both the commercial and domestic aspects of modern living that it is getting increasingly difficult to live without them.
