3Com sustains leadership in networked telephony for third year

September 25, 2001 3Com Corporation (www.3com.com) has retained the No. 1 market share position worldwide with 31% of total networked telephony system shipments for the first half of this year. Synergy Research Group, based in Phoenix, Arizona, reports that 3Com retained the market share for the third straight year.

"3Com has proven to be the best in networked telephony, offering business customers feature-rich, easy-to-use telephony solutions that are based on an open, scalable architecture and support a rich application suite," says Ed Wadbrook, director of voice solutions for 3Com's Business Networks Co.

3Com NBX Networked Telephony systems provide customers with an IP-based business telephony solution. 3Com, based in Santa Clara, California, also provides access infrastructures and IP services platforms for network service providers.
