According to Cahners In-Stat Group (www.instat.com) today's U.S. businesses support more than 2 million remote branch offices around the globe. Enterprise businesses support the bulk of the remote branch offices (RBOs) of U.S. firms. Mid-sized businesses only support 18% of RBOs among U.S. firms, and smaller firms account for nearly 40% of the remote offices supported by U.S. businesses.
