November 30, 2006 -- Windy City Wire announced that, in January of 2007, it plans to expand staff and training resources for its recently opened new headquarters in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
According to a press release, the company's human resources department and senior management find it necessary to accommodate for the company's recent substantial growth by providing additional staff and an updated training program for next year.
Windy City anticipates hiring 5-10 sales professionals to be staffed at the headquarters in 2007. The low-voltage wire and cable company says it currently recruits at Illinois State University and DePaul University, among others.
Although the company is headquartered outside of Chicago, according to the release, the staff expansion for 2007 is expected to take place at the other three locations as well: Tempe, Arizona; Secaucus, New Jersey; and Los Angeles, California.
The company says its new headquarters facility encompasses 115,000 sq. feet. A 50-person training room will be used for the new hires and for customer training purposes. The training room features a variety of resources that allow for in-depth training sessions on the company's SmartWire products and SmartWire system design tool, among other topics. A showcase area in the room demonstrates how the SmartWire produt is labeled and used in conjunction with various devices.
