Feb. 1, 2006 - Device extends the WireScope 350's capabilities to Category 6a/7 and Class F cable certification.

Agilent Technologies' new N2640A WireScope Pro extends the WireScope 350's capabilities to Category 6a/7 and Class F cable certification.

The device now offers cable and network installers the chance to gain maximum productivity through measurement time, re-designed fiber probes and a new, simultaneous alien crosstalk test method.
The new WireScope Pro is optimized for testing efficiency. Fiber SmartProbes cut test times of optical links by eliminating the need to swap fibers for bi-directional testing and calibration.

The newly-developed test solution also provides alien crosstalk measurement performance by employing a new, extremely fast and cost-efficient methodology. The simultaneous measurement method shortens test times from hours to minutes.

The device features Category 6a/ Class E, Category 7/ Class F copper cable certification, multimode and singlemode fiber certification for length and loss. It exceeds TIA Level IV accuracy specifications, with compliance independently certified.

The new WireScope Pro also offers alien crosstalk measurement to enable 10-Gig-over-UTP. It is designed to be user friendly with vendor managed cable database, pre-defined settings and a full workday of battery life
