September 27, 2007 -- "Open platform" IP video management software provider Milestone Systems recently announced several appointments and strategic organizational expansions.

The company has appointed Eric Fullerton to the position of chief sales and marketing officer. The new position expands Fullerton's role beyond the Americas to have a global impact on the company's latest business expansions.

"We're extremely pleased to have Eric as the CS&MO for Milestone Systems. His success in building our business in the Americas is an impressive testimonial to his capability as an international business leader," comments Lars Thinggaard, president and CEO of Milestone Systems. "Eric's extensive business background, leadership, and understanding of the high-tech industry bring valuable assets to Milestone as we continue to grow our business worldwide."

Fullerton joined Milestone in 2004 and became the president of Milestone Systems, Inc., with responsibility for operations in the Americas. That subsidiary has seen strong and steady growth in revenues since he joined, says the company.

Fullerton has an MBA from IMD Switzerland, and a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the Danish Engineering Academy. He has had global responsibility for operations in companies including Ericsson, Intel, Case and others.

"Few people get to see this kind of growth potential during their entire careers," says Fullerton. "I am very lucky to be in a position to work with these talented individuals and teams here at Milestone Systems, and to apply my experience inside such a well-managed company in a growth market that is close to unprecedented in today's high-technology world."

Separately, Milestone also announced multiple hirings in its R&D divisions, and the formation of new departments in key focus areas.

Claus Rønning has been appointed as the company's country manager for Italy. Before joining Milestone he had jobs with Nokia, Fabbrica d'armi Pietro Beretta, and his own consulting company, LinfaVitale.

Richard Angulo has joined the company as territory sales manager for the Southeast U.S. Angulo previously worked at Videoprotein Inc., where he developed business and marketing strategies for clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 1000 retail corporations.

Poul Ditlev Christiansen has been appointed sales manager responsible for retail solutions, working out of Milestone's corporate headquarters in Denmark. He brings more than 15 years of experience in high-tech sales and marketing from positions at Intermate and FLSmidth.

Jan Bjerring Aabyvester has also joined the company as product manager for value-added products, where he will be defining the company's video analytics framework. In his earlier career, he managed business and product development at inTechnology in Australia, and served as product manager for security products at Danware Data in Denmark.

Also, Tony Logan has been hired at Milestone in the UK as a pre-sales engineer, and Gary St. Arnauld has joined Milestone in the U.S. as a support engineer.

Finally, the company reports that a host of system engineering team leaders have been appointed in its R&D groups for XProtect base products, XProtect Corporate, XProtect Core, Value-Add Products and solution integrations, consultancy, Device Support, and QA and Testing.

"Milestone Systems is in the admirable situation that highly talented individuals around the world are contacting us on a daily basis because they want to join a thought leader and a winning team," concludes Milestone's CEO Thinggaard. "Several of the individuals who make contact are top producers from our competitors and eco-system partners, who share our vision and want to be part of the Milestone family."
