July 24, 2007 -- L-com Connectivity Products is now offering HDMI cable assemblies in longer lengths and in direct panel mount versions. The company says the cables are ideal for applications that require longer runs than typically used five meter cables.
The HDMI cable assemblies are available in three versions: the CTL-L-HDMI-XX Series with lengths up to 45 meters (147.6 feet); the CTL-XL-HDMI-XX Series with lengths up to 90 meters (295.2 feet); and the CTL-PM-HDMI-XX Series with panel mount HDMI female connectors.
According to L-com, by using heavy gauge 24 AWG and 22 AWG conductors, the HDMI cables can achieve lengths as long as 90 meters with the assistance of the company's HDMI signal boosters.
Also, the company's HDMI female panel mount cable assembly can be directly mounted to a panel or wall plate without use of a feed thru adapter.
