Leviton Manufacturing Inc. and the Voice & Data Division (www.levitonvoicedata.com) recently announced the acquisition of Fiber Management Solutions (FMS), which is located in Holbrook, NY. FMS is now a Leviton company assigned to support the fiber-optics program, including enterprise networks, access networks, and data centers within the Leviton Voice & Data Division. With the addition of FMS, Leviton is uniquely positioned to address new markets including cable television operators, as well as other new and existing customers.
Mike Matteir, former owner and president of FMS, has been named director of FMS. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, as well as a master's in business. He will work closely with the Leviton Voice & Data project teams to integrate and develop new solutions.
FMS was established in 1998, specializing in the design, development, and manufacture of passive optical components and hardware for access network and data center applications. The product line primarily consists of indoor splice and termination enclosures, including splice trays and fusion splice sleeves for single and ribbon fibers, fiber distribution frames, cable assemblies, and underfloor and overhead cable raceway systems.
