National Association of Electrical Distributors appoints new vice president

Jan. 2, 2004 - Bruce Leff will lead the Eastern Region in 2005-2006.

The National Association of Electrical Distributors has named Bruce Leff as the incoming Vice President-Elect for its Eastern Region. The NAED Eastern Council appointed Leff by majority approval.

Leff is president and CEO of The H. Leff Electric Co., based in Cleveland, OH.

"I am very excited about being asked to continue the strong trend of leadership in our region," says Leff. "The association's ability to provide the latest education, information, and research to distributors makes us more valuable to the channel.

"When we integrate these resources into our places of businesses we provide better service to our clients and suppliers, and become more profitable," Leff continues. "We need to get the word out there to our fellow distributors, so that they too can recognize NAED's tremendous service to the industry."

Leff will lead the Eastern Region in 2005-2006. He has served in various roles for NAED, including TED advisory chair, Eastern Region council member, advisory chair to the Scholarship Trust and PDT committee member.

As a regional vice president-elect, Leff will be responsible for attending and helping direct the region's conferences and council meetings. He will also be participating in NAED's membership and TED advisory committees.

The NAED Eastern Region is now led by Rick Smith, president of Gettens Electric Supply in Fitchburg, MA. In May 2004, John Spoor, president of State Electric Supply Co. in Huntington, WV, will become Eastern Region vice president for the 2004-2005 year.
