TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc. has announced that it is working with the Wi-Fi Alliance to become a qualified test laboratory to perform Wi-Fi certification testing for the alliance members.
Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) allows customers to connect to the Internet from virtually anywhere there is a base station, such as home, office, airports, hotels, etc. without wires. Wi-Fi certified products have been through rigorous interoperability testing requirements to ensure that compatible products from different vendors will work together.
"We are glad to work with the Wi-Fi Alliance to support the industry and the end-user simultaneously. Once qualified, we are looking forward to provide the testing services together with our other homologation programs," says Rolf Bienert, Telecom Divison manager of TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc.
"The Wi-Fi Alliance is pleased to add TUV as an additional Wi-Fi certification laboratory," says Frank Hanzlik, managing director of the Wi-Fi Alliance. "We look forward to their very high level of service to meet the certification needs of the Wi-Fi Alliance membership."
The Wi-Fi Alliance is based in Austin, TX. For more information visit www.Wi-Fi.org.
