The National Association of Electrical Distributors has announced its new Board of Directors officers for 2004 - 2005.
Led by the NAED chairman, the Board of Directors is a group of industry leaders who volunteer their time and efforts to improve the association and the electrical distribution industry.
The 2004 - 2005 NAED chairman of the board is Peter de Steiger, chief executive officer of Raymond De Steiger, Inc., in Sterling Heights, MI. A former NAED South Central Region vice president, de Steiger has dedicated more than 30 years to the electrical distribution industry, serving on the TED Advisory, Your Emerging Talent (YET), and the Project Development Team committees. Through his message, "People Make the Difference," de Steiger will focus the industry's attention on the importance of relationships with customers, employees and suppliers.
"I'm honored and excited to be working with this year's Board of Directors," says de Steiger. "The common thread running through successful endeavors is people, and we
have a very talented and dedicated group of people on our board. They are committed to bringing positive change and making improvements in the electrical distribution industry."
Newly appointed Chairman-Elect Bill Elliott will work closely with de Steiger in assessing and meeting the needs of the industry. Elliott is the president of Elliott Electric Supply, in Nacogdoches, Texas. With 42 years in electrical distribution, he most recently served as the 2003-2004 NAED Education & Research Foundation chairman. As foundation chairman, Elliott initiated an endowment fund that raised more than $2 million dollars.
Elliott will assume the chairmanship at the end of the 2005 Annual Meeting,
held May 14-18 in Boston, MA.
