Summary
In today's fast-paced corporate, educational, and public environments, the need for seamless Wi-Fi coverage everywhere is greater than ever before. Outdoor deployments of Wi-Fi access points and their associated components present challenges for network designers and installers in providing a suitable infrastructure for reliable coverage and performance. Cable runs are longer, and equipment must be suitably protected. Previous equipment mounting methods are quickly becoming less acceptable and less effective for maintenance, code, performance and aesthetics reasons.
To meet the ever-increasing demand for ubiquitous service, network designers are turning to the latest Wi-Fi technology for optimum access point performance, therefore facing the challenges of physical deployment today that did not exist in prior network designs. This presentation will outline today’s Wi-Fi installation challenges and describe solutions for providing high-performance Wi-Fi outdoors and in public venues.
