MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transition Networks, Inc., a provider of data network integration solutions, announced that it was recognized by the judges of the annual Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards program at the BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition. The judging panel consisted of cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers with vast professional experience.

Transition Networks was honored with a silver-level award for its networking integration solutions and configuration services. These solutions were used to develop intelligent camera-based parking guidance systems by incorporating its hardened Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switches and serial device servers. The silver-level award recognizes a very good innovation that resulted in not just incremental improvement, but in marked improvement over previous methods employed, approaches taken, or products/systems used.

“We are privileged to be among the companies honored by Cabling Installation & Maintenance,” said Tony LeFebvre, Director of Product Management for Transition Networks. “Ethernet may be the only technology that has been on the market for decades and is still growing into new applications. We’re pleased to see this innovative intelligent camera-based parking guidance system Ethernet application recognized as part of the program.”

Transition Networks is currently showcasing a range of products designed to help companies extend the life of their existing network cabling infrastructure – from fiber optics to coax cable – at the 2016 BICSI Fall Conference and Exhibition taking place in San Antonio, TX, from September 11-15. The company is in booth #516.

Alan Bergstein, publisher of Cabling Installation & Maintenance (http://www.cablinginstall.com), said, "This prestigious program allows Cabling Installation & Maintenance to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products and services in the structured cabling industry. Our 2016 Honorees are an outstanding example of companies who are making an impact in the industry."

The Innovators Awards are judged based on the following criteria:
