CyberPower’s Smart App Sinewave UPS Series Includes Lithium-Iron Models

April 30, 2024
CyberPower expanded its Smart App Sinewave UPS series to include lithium-iron batteries and has a bevy of features outside of the batteries alone.

Cyber Power Systems (USA), Inc. is a leading provider in power protection and power management products. A few months ago, the company announced the expansion of its Smart App Sinewave UPS (uninterruptible power supply) series which includes two new models utilizing lithium-iron phosphate battery technology. The UPS systems have a longer product lifecycle, with batteries lasting up to 10 years versus systems that use conventional batteries.

“These next-generation, lithium UPS systems offer all the advantages of our recently refreshed line of Smart App Sinewave UPS systems but with even less maintenance and a longer product lifecycle,” said Jake Shevik, senior product manager at CyberPower. “Lithium-iron is the safest form of lithium batteries, providing up to 2.7 times the runtime over traditional lead-acid batteries and a faster charge time of only two hours.”

This solution is best suited for corporate and departmental applications, as the cloud-enabled UPS systems not only protect servers, networking equipment and other electronics with line-interactive topology, automatic voltage regulation (AVR), but also have surge protection to remedy minor power fluctuations without the need to switch to battery backup. Sine wave output ensures seamless operation of sensitive equipment.

CyberPower’s new Lithium-Iron UPS Systems come with a standard five-year warranty and have a smaller form factor and up to double the runtime of other lithium UPS systems on the market. The systems also come with integrated CyberPower PowerPanel Cloud technology and include a remote monitoring card, making it easy to monitor the UPS system and connected devices across a multitude of locations from any place where there is an internet connection. These features increase efficiency and reduce IT resources.

The CyberPower Smart App Sinewave UPS systems with lithium-iron batteries can be purchased in outputs of 1500 VA/1500 Watts, model PRL1500RT2UC; and 3000 VA/3000 Watts, model PRL3000RT2UC.
