The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the trade association representing manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, on Dec. 8 announced the 2021 officers for its board of directors.
Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc. President and CEO, Doug Moore, was elected to serve as TIA Chairman.
“I am honored to be a part of this exceptional group of industry leaders and to serve as the board’s Chairman. This is an exciting and critical time with global emphasis on expanding and securing 5G infrastructure,” said Moore. “I look forward to working with TIA’s staff and members to enable a more connected future.”
Also elected to serve as board officers were CommScope’s Vice President of Global Strategy and Business Development, Trevor Smith, as Vice Chair; and Avion Networks CEO, Kanchana Raman, as Treasurer.

Nokia Chief Quality Officer and 2020 TIA Board Chairwoman, Deepti Arora, concluded, “It was a pleasure to serve as TIA’s Board Chair in 2020 as we advanced critical initiatives for the industry despite the widespread impact from the global pandemic. As Chair Emeritus, I will continue to champion the priorities of TIA and its members and wish the incoming board officers a successful 2021.”
