The Association for Passive Optical LAN (APOLAN), the non-profit organization advocating for the education and global adoption for Passive Optical Local Area Networks (POL) technology, recently announced that, "following an exhaustive evaluation process and review of several qualified companies," it recently selected Forius Association Management Services to provide strategic association management support services for APOLAN.
APOLAN said its selection of Forius AMS to provide management services reflects the association’s continuing growth and success since its inception in 2013.
Per a statement, Forius AMS will provide APOLAN with association expertise and day-to-day management that allows volunteers to focus on strategy and thought leadership.
As a result of the selection, Forius AMS director of association services Deborah Kessler, CGA, becomes APOLAN’s new executive director.
“Forius AMS is excited to use our extensive association management knowledge and experience to help APOLAN continue growing as an organization and advancing the adoption of POL worldwide,” Kessler commented.
A non-profit membership organization, APOLAN is composed of manufacturers, distributors, integrators and consulting companies who are actively involved in the Passive Optical LAN marketplace.
Members support the growth and education of the passive optical LAN industry. The organization formulates solutions for marketing, installing, educating and supporting this burgeoning field.
“By adding Forius AMS’s management and leadership expertise, APOLAN is better positioned to keep pace with the accelerating adoption of POL globally and deliver even greater benefits to our member companies,” concluded Meggin Sawyer, APOLAN chairman and vice president of North American Sales at DZSi.
