TIA FOLS to present on 'Advanced Fiber 101' at BICSI Winter Conference

Members of the TIA's Fiber Optics LAN Section (TIA FOLS) will present a pre-conference seminar, Fiber 101, on Monday, January 20th from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Attendees will earn 3 BICSI Continuing Education Credits.

Topics covered in this seminar will include optical fiber technology trends, optical fiber comparisons and standards updates, including commercial cabling and developing cabling standards. Also on the docket: optical connector technologies, effective cleaning processes, optical testing procedures and polarity maintenance for current and future applications. The goal is to provide attendees with guideposts to successfully prepare and present optical infrastructure solutions supporting current needs and future demands.
