HDBaseT Alliance to unveil dozens of new products at ISE 2014

Jan. 30, 2014
This year for the first time, the ISE show floor will feature two "HDBaseT Solutions Theatres."

The HDBaseT Alliance announced that its exhibit at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2014 show in Amsterdam (Feb. 4-6) will feature new HDBaseT products from dozens of manufacturers, including projectors, displays, AVRs, matrixes and extenders. Additionally, Valens' second generation HDBaseT chipset, which complies with the new HDBaseT 2.0 specification, will be introduced.

"Our new ISE exhibit will showcase just how significantly both the HDBaseT product ecosystem and the HDBaseT Alliance have grown over just the past year," comments Micha Risling, marketing committee chair for the HDBaseT Alliance. "The Alliance membership now stands at over 80 manufacturers, including many of the world's leading brands, and the ISE 2014 show floor reflects that evolution."

HDBaseT technology, powered by the aforementioned Valens chipset, enables all-in-one connectivity between HD video sources and remote displays through a single 100m/328ft Category 5e/6 cable, delivering uncompressed high definition 4k video, audio, Ethernet, control signals and up to 100 watts of power.

The centerpiece of the ISE 2014 show's "HDBaseT Commercial Zone" will be a wall of brand new digital signage displays from leading manufacturers. In addition, the show's "HDBaseT Home Theater Zone" will feature a HDBaseT multimedia home connectivity demonstration and will also demonstrate how HDBaseT is the ideal solution for 4K connectivity.

This year, for the first time, the ISE show floor will also feature two "HDBaseT Solutions Theatres," for residential and commercial products and technologies, respectively. The HDBaseT Alliance will lead presentations at both locations.

The Commercial Solutions Theatre presentation, How to Reduce Costs and Complexities of 4K Installations, will educate attendees on how they can leverage HDBaseT technology to overcome some common issues they face when installing 4K displays. This presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Hall 8.

The Residential Solutions Theatre presentation, Turn an Entire Home into a Connected Multimedia Entertainment Center, will show how HDBaseT can help installers turn a customer's entire house into a connected home entertainment center while simultaneously replacing the typical assortment of cables and cords with one inexpensive Ethernet cable. This presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Hall 7.
