TIA Cabling Standards Committees Elect Leaders

Subcommittees within TR-42 have chosen chairs and vice chairs for 2-year terms.

At the most recent meeting of the Telecommunications Industry Association’s (TIA) TR-42 Telecommunications Cabling Systems Engineering Committee, 8 subcommittees within TR-42 elected chairs and vice chairs. Chairs and vice chairs of the 7 odd-numbered subcommittees will serve 2-year terms. The election within TR-42.12 was for an interim, 1-year term.

Following are the titles of the subcommittees, along with the names and employers/affiliations of the elected leaders.

  • TR-42.1 Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure—Chair: Diane Forbes, NIS ; Vice-Chair : Cindy Montstream, Legrand
  • TR-42.3 Telecommunications Administration, Pathways, Bonding and Grounding—Chair: Cindy Montstream, Legrand; Vice-Chair: Jonathan Jew, J&M Consultants
  • TR-42.5 Telecommunications Infrastructure Terms and Symbols—Chair: Scott Eischens, CommScope; Vice-Chair: Tiger Ninomiya, Accelink Technologies
  • TR-42.7 Telecommunications Copper Cabling Systems—Chair: Brian Celella, Siemon; Vice-Chair: Brad Woodman, Molex
  • TR-42.9 Industrial Telecommunications Infrastructure—Chair: Brian Shuman, Belden ; Vice-Chair : Brad Woodman, Molex
  • TR-42.11 Optical Fiber Systems—Chair: Phil Irwin, Panduit; Vice-Chair: Tom Knychalski, Legrand
  • TR-42.12 Optical Fibers and Cables—Chair: Michael Stover, OCC; Vice-Chair: David Kozischek, Corning
  • TR-42.13 Passive Optical Devices and Fiber Optic Metrology—Chair: Derek Huffman, Corning; Vice-Chair: Andrei Vankov, Senko

TR-42’s most recent meeting was held the week of January 27. Its next meeting is scheduled to take place the week of June 2.
