AFL recently launched FOCIS Flex Lite, a compact fiber-inspection system the company explains is “designed to make fiber-connector analysis fast, simple, and cost-effective while adhering to strict performance standards.”
FOCIS Flex Lite analyzes fiber connectors and provides technicians with “clear and reliable results based on industry and user-defined criteria,” AFL further states. With a single button press, the tool auto-focuses, captures and centers the endface image, analyzes the connector by applying pass/fail rules, and displays results instantly. “This simple operation eliminates guesswork, enabling precise and reliable inspection within seconds,” the company adds.
AFL further explains that FOCIS Flex Lite’s user-friendly design and straightforward operation allow technicians to navigate through the inspection process easily. The device supports a wide range of adapter tips, with interchangeable options for various connectors. Its untethered design makes it easily portable, and a rechargeable battery is beneficial for on-the-go technicians as well as high-volume service providers.
“The FOCIS Flex Lite delivers cost-effective connector inspection with sacrificing essential features or operational performance,” says AFL’s director of product and marketing Arun Jain. “It allows service providers to maintain superior performance standards while aligning with budgetary considerations.”
The inspection and analysis tool has been designed to meet the growing demand for high-volume fiber network installations, by ensuring cost-effective precision and reliability for service providers, IT managers, and telecom technicians.
