Emerson Launches a Digital Valve Control With Unique New Features
Emerson recently released the Fisher FIELDVUE DVC7K Digital Valve Controller. The controller has Advice at the Device technology with computing and analytics that converts data into actionable information using Bluetooth capability within the device itself.
Due to the Bluetooth capability, maintenance workers can get the data via phone, computer, or tablet wirelessly without having to be in a control room in the plant. They can get access to one or multiple digital valve controllers up to 30 ft away as long as the have a Bluetooth supported device.
The DVC7K analyzes data it receives to make an actionable plan based on any issues. Once an issue is noticed, it makes an alert which can be viewed remotely or in the facility and with the plan it creates it makes processes more streamlined which is cost and time saving.
The recommended actions are a new feature for digital valve controllers, as well as the remote accessibility and ability to view data without needing access to the host software. Initially the user interface will show valve health but upon scrolling down the screen more information can be found.
The DVC7K can be requested for all new valve purchases, and it can be retrofitted to most current valve installations.
