Paper unpacks IT considerations for BYOD initiatives

Dec. 27, 2012
Aruba Networks white paper provides a "framework for successful BYOD initiatives" from the perspective of the IT department.

A recent white paper from Aruba Networks addresses the issue of "conquering today’s bring-your-own-device (BYOD) challenges" while providing a "framework for successful BYOD initiatives" from the perspective of the IT department.

"Today's networks weren't built for BYOD," states the paper. As such, according to Aruba Networks, IT organizations need to consider the following points when first exploring a BYOD initiative:

-- Device and information overlap and security implications.
-- Application accessibility per user and per device.
-- Enforcement of policies.
-- Automated policy enforcement.
-- IT and helpdesk overload and levels of visibility.
